Reviews for Human Body

Horn Book Guide Reviews 1998
Seven sections briefly address the history of anatomical study, functional systems, structure, senses, the nervous system, the interconnection of systems, and reproduction. Large color illustrations accompany informative paragraphs and are surrounded by smaller captioned photos. A four-page foldout shows how everything fits in the body. A double-page spread on prostheses concludes the book, which could have used more careful editing of British spellings. Glos., ind. Copyright 1998 Horn Book Guide Reviews
