Depth and detail are necessarily lacking in these brief biographies. Childhood events are--sometimes strangely--given more space than adult accomplishments, and snippets of the subjects' speeches don't convey much about the speakers' convictions. Nonetheless, the straightforward language and plentiful photos convey the basic information young report writers need in a format that won't intimidate them. Reading list, timeline, websites.
