Reviews for L. M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables

Horn Book Guide Reviews 2001 Fall
Illustrated with adequate watercolors, this easy-to-read adaptation of the beloved classic distills some of Anne's most memorable escapades from the novel. In these few bare-boned episodes, the novel's charm is as hard to find as Marilla's missing brooch. The original is a great read aloud for those not ready to read it on their own.
