Reviews for Easter Bunny on the Loose!

Horn Book Guide Reviews 2013 Fall
On each intentionally crowded double-page spread, readers search Where's Waldo style for the Easter Bunny, who's following clues to figure out who stole his Golden Egg. The Easter egg colored illustrations look like a Martin Handford/Brian Biggs collaboration; while the mystery is lame, the search-and-find game may be diverting for kids on a sugar high. Suspects' profiles precede the hunt; an evidence round-up follows.

Publishers Weekly Reviews 2013 February #3

"Emergency in Easterville!" In this interactive seek-and-find companion to Bruce Hale's Santa on the Loose, also illustrated by Garbot, readers help the Easter Bunny figure out who stole his golden egg. To do so, they must scour the spreads to locate the Easter Bunny, no small task since Easterville is jam-packed with bunnies, birds, eggs, children, flowers, and more (including the occasional Santa). By matching each clue the Easter Bunny finds with the suspects who appear at the beginning of the story, readers can narrow down the list. After all the real-life eggs have been found on Easter morning, kids who want more to search for should be engrossed by this light mystery. Ages 4-8. (Feb.)
